Sarkodie speaks for mortuary men and pending strike, asks for a better treatment for them
Sarkodie added his voice to the mounting concerns of mortuary workers in Ghana. The Mortuary Workers Association of Ghana (MOWAG) said they are going on strike on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, because they attempted several times to get the government to pay attention to their lousy work conditions. Still, the government paid death ears to their request.
The award-winning rapper was moved by the suffering of the mortuary employees and concluded that they were underappreciated for the relevant work they do for the nation and received too little wages. Sarkodie claims that the decision by mortuary workers to go on strike will significantly impact Ghanaians.
The rapper, who holds the title of the most decorated rapper in Ghana and around the continent, used his considerable influence to highlight the value of morticians. In a tweet, the rapper said that the morticians should be paid more and provided with appropriate work gear. He posted his complaints and tagged the Ministry of Health.

This will affect us heavy … Yes I wouldn’t want a strike especially from “them” but I understand… this is one of the underrated / underpaid jobs yet one of the hardest and riskiest jobs. They deserve the right salary , equipment and environment to work effectively … We can… https://t.co/BZ1M2u8htV
