Mohammed Kudus: Saudi giants Al Ittihad targets West Ham and Ghana Star
Mohammed Kudus, an offensive midfielder for West Ham United and Ghana, is attracting interest from Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al Ittihad ahead of the summer transfer season.
After losing their title defence the previous season, the former Saudi champions aim to bolster their roster before the 2024–25 campaign, and the Ghanaian international is one of their targets.
Mohammed Kudus easily integrates into West Ham.
After joining the Hammers from Ajax last summer, Mohammed Kudus had an incredible first season in the English Premier League, scoring 14 goals for the team in all competitions. ESPN reports that Al Ittihad is preparing to sign the forward this summer to bolster their roster for the next campaign.
The Jeddah-based team hopes to add some younger players to its roster in addition to France internationals N’Golo Kante and Karim Benzema. The 23-year-old expects to remain in the English Premiership because rumours suggest that the Premier League teams Manchester United and Liverpare are interested in him.
Mohammed Kudus is scheduled to return to England in July to start pre-season training with the Hammers; however, if West Ham accepts the right offer, he may leave the London club. According to Transfermarkt, Kudus finished the previous season with eight goals and six assists in the Premier League.
