Manchester City’s incredible comeback against West Ham today proves they are in for the season and expect to win the trophy. After the first goal by James Ward-Prowse in the 36th minute for West Ham to surpass City, most people would expect City’s morale to dwindle.
The first half ended with West Ham’s lead, but after City returned from the first-half break, their morale increased, and they changed their play, tactics, and approach to the game. A minute into the second half, Jérémy Doku, the Belgian international, equalized for Manchester City.
West Ham, expecting to win at home, could not defend their first goal, and after Doku’s equalizer, Bernardo Silver and Erling Haaland, in the 76th and 86th minute, added a goal each to beat West Ham at the London Stadium.
Manchester City remains the only team without a loss or draw at the end of the 5th week of the 2023 – 2024 league season. Manchester City is doing very well in winning their matches, but it is too early to judge whether they can win the league since more games are ahead.
