Kylian Mbappe to Be Awarded Unique Ligue 1 Honour For Outstanding Goal Scoring Achievement

Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain seems to have the month of November as his best month. The French football phenom wowed with an incredible hat-trick against Reims and helped France defeat Gibraltar in a World Cup qualifier.

The former Monaco player’s incredible journey to 300 career goals in record time only made it more remarkable. Following these achievements, the French league’s controlling body is set to bestow a unique accolade on the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion.

As the 24-year-old prepares to maintain his excellent play for PSG in the forthcoming game against his old team, Monaco, and as the excitement grows for what looks to be a classic encounter, Kylian Mbappe, captain, is set to receive a unique award.

The top goal scorer in Ligue 1 will wear a new badge, which will be unveiled by the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) on their shirt each week. The unique emblem, ‘S1’, is symbolic: number one indicates the top scorer, and the letter ‘S’ stands for the scorer.

With 13 goals to his name, Kylian Mbappe leads the goal standings and will be privileged to don this badge in the next game. Pedro Pauleta, a former PSG forward, will be honored to deliver the number seven shirt to the Parisian player.
