
E.T. Mensah dies at 77
E.T. Mensah, a former Ningo-Prampram MP, passed away at the age of 77. At the time of his passing, E.T. Mensah was a representative on the Council of State.

According to reports, he passed away on October 1, 2023, in South Africa after battling an unnamed disease.
E.T. Mensah was a member of parliament from January 1997 to January 2017. He was born on May 17, 1946.
Prior to it, he worked for Jerry Rawling’s military government as Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
He held the positions of Minister for Youth and Sports, Minister for Employment and Social Welfare, and Minister for Education under several National Democratic Congress administrations.
He has seven children and was married.
He served as the long-time Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), which is equivalent to being the Mayor of the City of Accra, under the PNDC military administration in Ghana.
When the National Democratic Congress was established in 1992, he joined it.
In addition, he ran for office in the 1996 parliamentary election and won the Ningo-Prampram constituency, serving as MP for over ten years.
