
Cristiano Ronaldo Honoured by Boyhood Club Sporting Lisbon Ahead of Euro Qualifier Against Iceland
Cristiano Ronaldo is greeted like a hero whenever he comes home to Portugal; in his native land, the national captain is adored, particularly among Sporting Lisbon supporters.
Before joining Manchester United, he built his reputation with the team, where he is still held in high regard. Sporting Lisbon honoured Ronaldo during Portugal’s most recent Euro qualifier.
Sporting Lisbon demonstrated to Ronaldo how much the team values him up to date. At Sporting’s home stadium, Estádio José Alvalade, Roberto Martinez’s team faced Iceland.
The club honored him with a new uniform since the seasoned player led the national team. The back of the kit bore his name and the number 28, which he utilised when playing for the side.
