The Ghana Music Industry is seeing improvement in the works and efforts by artistes to conquer the international market.
The Villain I Never Was, an album by Ghanaian hip-hop artist Black Sherif, also known as Mohammed Ismail Sharrif, has amassed 300 million streams on Boomplay, breaking the previous record held by another artist from that country.
Black Sherif seems poised to build a legacy and set records that any Ghanaian artiste would hardly break. After bagging several international awards and emerging as the Artistes Of The Year at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards
With his album The Villain I Never Was, the gifted Ghanaian music sensation has accomplished a tremendous feat. The critically acclaimed album has amassed an incredible 300 million streams on the well-liked music streaming service Boomplay, making it the first Ghanaian music release to do so.
Unorthodox Reviews, an African media review organisation, claims that the award-winning artist’s latest accomplishment is a first of its sort.
