Alexander Djiku: Black Stars defender reveals why Otto Addo will succeed as coach
Alexander Djiku, the Ghanaian defender, thinks Ghana Black Star’s coach, Otto Addo, has the potential to be among the greatest in the world. The former Borussia Dortmund player rejoined the team after the Ghana Football Association fired Chris Hughton in March. Otto Addo guided Ghana to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and has already begun his second term with a bang, having won two of his qualification games.
After defeating Mali and the Central African Republic, the Black Stars moved to first place in Group I. In both games, Djiku praised coach Addo, saying he is one of the world’s top “managers.” Alexander Djiku told FIFA, “He knows the players well.” “We arrived in Qatar thanks to Otto Addo. He knows the ins and outs of the national squad because he played for Ghana.
“First and foremost, he’s an excellent leader. We need a coach who is exceptional at man-management since so many young players joined the team, and Addo is unrivalled in that regard. Alexander Dziku added.
According to US Soccerway, the Black Stars, who are presently playing well, will play again in March 2025 when the World Cup qualifying round resumes against Madagascar and Chad.
